Daniel Hernandez is a Performance Coach who works with all athletes, sports, and populations. He leads performance, fitness, and injury prevention sessions and assists in the Biomechanics lab inputting data. His main goal is to continue keeping athletes and individuals healthy while improving performance.
Daniel graduated with his B.S. in Exercise Science from California State University Northridge (’14) and M.S. in Exercise Science Degree California Baptist University (’16). Since 2015, he has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the NSCA and holds a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach Certification. Daniel also has experience as a strength and conditioning intern with Division 1 collegiate athletes at Pepperdine University and University of California. In 2016, Daniel started as strength coach and fitness instructor at Santa Barbara City College working with various sport teams, including women’s water polo, who became state champions in 2017.
He was born and raised in Oxnard, California. He grew up playing soccer and played through out high school along with football and cross-country. He went Ventura and Oxnard College, where he continued with soccer, and he became Western State Conference Champion in 2010. Since then, has completed 2 half-marathons and enjoys, mountain biking, running trails, hiking, camping and fishing. Daniel values hard work, dedication, and consistency. When he is not training he enjoys DJing to Hip-Hop and EDM, watching the latest scary movies, or watching his favorite soccer team, Real Madrid, play. He has 3 pets, a 10-year-old ball python, 5-year-old Siberian husky, and recently, a crested gecko.
Nate is one of the co-founding partners of Sports Academy and directs the elite performance programs in the facility. Nate also directly works with Sports Academy’s actor & entertainer program to develop role transformations and facilitates on sight training. Groups such as NETFLIX and WARNER BROS have contracted Nate as an onsite trainer. Nate also oversees and directs Sports Academy Tennis performance program. Nate became the head performance coach for Maria Sharapova in 2019.More about Nate
Bryce is a veteran of the USAF and an elite Performance Coach at Sports Academy. He is extremely passionate about helping others and he has changed many lives through fitness with his unique training philosophy. It focuses on analyzing movement to find areas to improve upon as well as teaching his clients to implement daily habits to reach their fullest potential.More about Bryce

Zach is a Performance Coach here at Sports Academy and is a jack of all trades for us. He is an ex-collegiate athlete with a clinical background in rehabilitation which he uses to help all our clients reach their full potential.More about Zachary
Justin is a Performance Coach at Sports Academy and trains all variations of the population. He has certifications in corrective exercise, performance enhancement and CPR/AED. He is a former athlete and currently partakes in many extreme sports to maintain an active lifestyle.More about Justin
Amy Gray is a HIIT Instructor at Sports Academy and enjoys programming for HIIT and teaching MRT. She has been leading HIIT classes and working with private clients for the past 3+ years. Amy holds NASM CPT and NASM Nutrition certifications.More about Amy
