Jill earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2003 and went on to receive her Masters in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. Her work with college athletic departments has spanned 3 different states to include the University of Minnesota, Pennsylvania State University and University of South Carolina-Aiken.
In 2009, Jill accepted the position as Head Athletic Trainer for the USA Women’s National Volleyball Team. Jill’s experience at the highest level in volleyball as well as international experiences within sports medicine has formed the clinician she is today. Jill had the privilege to attend both the 2012 London Olympic Games and 2016 Rio Olympic Games. At the end of her 8-year stint with USA, Jill was looking for a new challenge professionally and found a great fit with Sports Academy. Her specialties include Active Release Therapy, Graston Technique, Therapeutic Cupping and Integrative Dry Needling.
Jill’s interest in new and innovative techniques, along with 15+ years of acquired experience are key to her one of a kind, integrative approach to patient planning. Within Sports Academy, Jill has taken a leadership role in the programming and treatment for our pre-NFL and pre-NBA draft classes. Jill also works with the Los Angeles Rams football team providing dry needling services throughout the year.
Jill is a certified athletic trainer that brings 15+ years of experience to Sports Academy. Jill has been challenged throughout her career working with collegiate and professional athletes to get them back in the game in an effective and efficient manner and is enjoying those same challenges with our patients and athletes here at SAMore about Jill
