Jodi Valentin

Jodi is an Assistant Manager and also aides in the implementation of physical rehabilitation under the supervision of licensed practitioners in Integrated Sports Medicine. She is a graduate from California State University, Northridge earning a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Magna Cum Laude. She has been involved in the medical field for close to 7 years, previously earning her certificate as a nursing assistant, but most recently has over 3 years of experience in the sports medicine sphere. Having formerly been a student-athlete and going through her own injuries playing basketball, she brings her passion and knowledge in physical therapy rehabilitation and return-to-sport performance with her ever-growing curiosity in bridging the two together to every person she works with. She has experience in human biomechanics, being involved in children’s motor development research at CSUN assessing foundational human kinetics. Furthermore, she is currently certified in administering Selective Functional Movement Assessments (SFMA).

Jodi was born and raised in Oxnard and loves food, travelling, watching sports, and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Jodi’s goal is to create a safe, supportive, fun and friendly environment for all individuals that come through the clinic.

It’s not always all about the end result. It’s in the journey of becoming the person who builds the strength, resilience, and character needed each step along the way. It’s about the consistency and discipline we tap into on the days we don’t necessarily feel like doing it. It’s in finding others along the way that you can inspire and support through their own journeys. It’s about surprising yourself with all that you are capable of achieving if you step out of fear, believe in yourself, and just do it. Every experience can either be an opportunity or a lesson to be better than you were yesterday. So be grateful in every circumstance you find yourself in, and enjoy your journey of becoming.
