Mindfulness Meditation Class Series

Join us for 3 different meditations series, focused on reducing stress, increasing mindfulness and help with relaxation and sleep.

11 Week Series: Developing Positive Emotions

Over millions of years of evolution, the human mind has developed what’s known as a Negativity Bias, meaning our minds naturally pay more attention to negative stimulus than positive. This bias, which developed to help our species evolve, can limit our perception, and has a strong influence on our tendency to worry, be fearful, and feel anxious.

This class series is designed to help us understand the far reaching implications of this Negativity Bias, and to begin the work of rewiring our brains to a more positive set point. Through exploration and guided meditations, we will come to know our own unique ways of experiencing this bias, and develop the ability to make different choices about how we perceive, what we think, and how we feel.

This class series can be taken on a drop in basis. However, to receive the most benefit from the practices offered, series participation is strongly encouraged.

No previous meditation experience is required. We will be sitting in chairs. Please wear comfortable clothing.

6 Week Class Series: Holiday Stress Reduction

The holidays can be a dizzying, difficult time for most of us. From the stress of shopping an
d family, to the joy of giving to others, there are often a wide range of thoughts and feelings that can affect us.

In this special Holiday Stress series, we will discuss common holiday stressors and our reactions to them. Self exploration exercises and guided meditations will form the framework for identifying, and overcoming, the holiday difficulties we all experience.

This class series can be taken on a drop in basis. However, to receive the most benefit from the practices offered, series participation is strongly encouraged.
