Great Race Training Program

4-Week Tune-up for the Great Race 2019

It’s not too late to get tuned-up for the Great Race that is fast approaching. Join our team of runners and coaches to give you that extra boost you need to finish the race strong on April 6, 2019. The 4-week Tune-up will help you improve your running form and running efficiency, knowledge of the courses and recovery. Training will include a weekly running form session, and interval training session and a long group run on the Great Race Course.

Training Program

Athletes will be working with Mamba Sports Academy's experienced staff of running coaches and sports performance specialists for a Full-Circle approach to training.

Workouts are coached by Jenny Kenyon, Julia Budniak, Cathy Wuesthoff and additional trail runners to monitor the course.

Running Technique

Monday @ Mamba Sports Academy
9:00am or 6:00pm
Learn proper running technique to conquer the course with efficiency & ease

Running Workouts

Wednesday @ Pepper Tree Park
9:00-10:15am or 6:00-7:15pm
Athletes will be placed in groups based on ability, experience and race goals for an interval workout. Sessions will be focused on running form & technique and interval training to improve running efficiency, strength and speed for all race distances.

Saturday @ Various Locations on the Great Race Courses
7:00-8:30am (may end later depending on length of run)
Meet at Chumash Park in Agoura Hills for a long run on the various race courses.

Training Program Registration

3-Days Per Week Program

Any Monday Adult Fitness class AND Wednesday & Saturday running workouts: $75.00 for 4-weeks

*price does not include Great Race registration.
