The Studio at Sports Academy applies principles of functional movement to every yoga class. Flows are designed to help safely increase mobility, balance, and isometric strength. As a practitioner you will learn how to move through each pose in a way that best suits your needs.
A yoga class based on the classic hot yoga sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. This class incorporates minimal flow and gives you more time in each pose. Helps increase balance, proprioception, and joint range of motion. Creates a balances muscle load which helps with injury prevention.
Therapeutic means being able to individualize your care. Our Therapeutic Yoga Flow is prescriptively tailored each time to meet the needs of the client. In each class, you will be given options to adjust your movements to accommodate soreness, general discomfort, or injury rehabilitation.
Yoga Sculpt classes utilize weights to create a more aerobic experience combining the mindful benefits of a yoga practice with the cardio and strength benefits of a HIIT workout. Student will flow with breath to the beat of fun music as both weighted and unweighted exercises are added in. Accessible to al levels with ample warm up and recovery time.
A gentle yoga class practiced entirely on the floor supported by blocks and bolsters. This class uses gravity and props to help your muscles open passively, access fascia and increase joint mobility. Great for relaxation and calming your nervous system. Acupressure and trigger point adjustments included.
Wurst was the Area Lead at CorePower Yoga in Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks for six years before becoming the President of Operations at Westlake Yoga Co.
