Director of Manual & Massage Therapy: Michael Oviedo brings over 25 years of experience in fitness, recovery, and manual therapy to the Sports Academy and PGA teams, with a specialized focus on optimizing performance and longevity for athletes. His expertise in soft tissue therapy and corrective movement makes him an invaluable resource for golfers looking to improve mobility, reduce pain, and recover faster between rounds or training sessions.Having worked with elite professionals—including serving as Kobe Bryant’s exclusive bodywork specialist during his farewell NBA season—Michael now applies that same precision to golfers of all levels. His approach integrates advanced recovery techniques with movement assessments tailored to the unique physical demands of the golf swing.Whether addressing chronic tightness, postural imbalances, or recovery after play, Michael’s work supports better rotation, stability, and consistency on the course.He holds certifications in Stretch Therapy, Reflexive Performance Reset, and Corrective Exercise, and is a licensed sports massage therapist in both Texas and California.
MS CSCS TPI Sports Performance Coordinator: Ryan grew up in Southern Arizona playing golf, football, and basketball—eventually playing collegiate basketball at the University of La Verne. His athletic background led him to strength & conditioning, where he launched his career at Sports Academy before specializing in golf performance at Urban Golf Performance (UGP) in Santa Monica.With experience training everyone from PGA Tour players to weekend golfers, Ryan uses elite tools like Trackman and Swing Catalyst to blend performance science with real-world application. He holds a Master’s in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago, is TPI Certified, and a CSCS through the NSCA.
Sports Scientist: Dr. Ehlert is a golf performance researcher, certified strength coach, and former collegiate golfer. He’s authored 20+ peer-reviewed publications in golf strength & conditioning and collaborates with golf tech companies on R&D projects.Alex combines data analytics with individualized support, helping athletes improve through evidence-based methods and advanced performance metrics.
General Manager – Sports Academy Field HouseOnsite Registered Dietician & Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics- PGA / Sports Academy Satellite Facility: Lindsey Salwasser is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with over 15 years of experience supporting athletes through nutrition, coaching, and leadership. She holds dual Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Science and has worked with athletes at every level—from youth and recreational players to elite collegiate and professional talent.As General Manager of Sports Academy Field House, Lindsey oversees all operations while continuing to lead Sports Academy Nutrition. Her background as a performance coach and Director of Performance Nutrition at the Division I Power 5 level has given her a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of sport—including the unique needs of rotational athletes like golfers.Lindsey’s approach to golf nutrition emphasizes energy availability, hydration, mobility support, and recovery—key components in optimizing performance, reducing fatigue, and maintaining focus across long rounds and tournament play.
