Why Sports Academy Prep?

FAQ's

Sports Academy Prep is a collaboration between US Performance Academy (USPA) and Sports Academy. This innovative program offers high-level athletes a unique blend of NCAA-approved online education from USPA and Sports Academy’s full-circle athlete development.

Sports Academy Prep (SAPrep) is specifically designed for student-athletes 6-8 grades. Unlike traditional online schools, our program integrates NCAA-approved academics with elite sports training, providing a flexible schedule that allows your child to excel both in the classroom and in their sport. Our partnership with US Performance Academy ensures that education and athletic development go hand-in-hand.

We conduct an initial assessment to understand each athlete's current skill level, physical condition, and personal goals. Based on this assessment, we create a personalized training plan that focuses on improving specific areas such as strength, speed, agility, and sport-specific skills, ensuring that each child receives the right training for their development.

We use a variety of tools to track and measure progress, including performance assessments, video analysis, and regular check-ins with coaches. Parents receive updates on their child's development, including improvements in key areas such as speed, strength, and technical skills. We also hold periodic evaluations to adjust training plans as needed.

Yes, we understand that nutrition plays a critical role in athletic performance. We provide general nutritional guidance as part of our program, and we can connect parents with certified sports nutritionists for personalized meal plans and advice tailored to their child's specific needs and goals.

The time commitment varies depending on the program and the goals of the athlete. Typically, youth athletes train 5-6 times per week, with each session lasting 1-2 hours. We also offer seasonal camps and additional sessions during school breaks to help athletes stay on track and continue developing their skills.

At SA Prep, students have the freedom to customize their daily schedules. They can choose when to attend classes and complete assignments, allowing them to focus on their training and competitions without compromising their education. This flexibility ensures that your child can manage their time effectively and maintain a balance between academics and athletics.

Your child will have access to a dedicated team of teachers, Learning Coaches, and athletic trainers. The Hub, the digital platform, facilitates seamless communication between students and staff, ensuring that help is always available when needed. Additionally, our GOAL Program offers specialized support for neurodivergent students, providing tailored resources to help every student succeed.

Yes, the curriculum at SAPrep is NCAA-approved and fully accredited. This means that your child’s academic achievements are recognized by colleges and universities, ensuring they are well-prepared for the next step in their educational journey.

SAPrep offers a variety of assessment methods to evaluate your child’s progress, including online tests, assignments, and project-based learning. We also prepare students for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for college admissions.

Students will need a reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet to access The Hub and complete their coursework. The Hub is designed to be user-friendly and accessible across various devices, ensuring that your child can stay connected and engaged with their education from anywhere.
