The Sports Academy Way

  • Winning culture

We instill a mindset that drives success both in sports and in life.

  • Focus on Fundamentals

We emphasize the basics to build a strong foundation for future success.

  • Team Building

We foster teamwork and camaraderie, making friends and memories.

Recreational League Goals

Our objectives are to develop and offer the players the opportunity to learn fundamental skills while instilling life lessons and values such as character, respect, accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship to all who will participate in the Sports Academy Spring Youth Flag Football League. Applying the discipline of sports, all participants shall endeavor to teach sportsmanship in a team environment, physical fitness through individual effort, and wholesome well-being through physical activity and social association with other youths under proper adult leadership. The objective will be achieved by providing a competitive, supervised youth flag football league.

The focus is on the player experience. We hope all players will fall in love with the great game of football, meet new people, make new friends, better understand teamwork, make fantastic memories, and more.

That being said, our league performs a player evaluation, with independent evaluators, followed by a proven and well-established draft process.

Bring your own team and play with your friends in the competitive division or join in as a free agent and play in the recreation division.

PARENTS' CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Purpose of the Program: Support the goal of our program, which is to help young athletes develop into individuals of empathy, integrity, and resilience who will lead, be responsible, and contribute positively to their communities.
  • Support for Coaches: Applaud actions in your child and their teammates that demonstrate integrity, empathy, teamwork, and responsibility both on and off the field. Recognize effort and commitment beyond just athletic ability.
  • Growth and Maturity: Appreciate and acknowledge your child’s growth towards maturity, especially as they build stronger relationships with teammates, coaches, and themselves.
  • Character First: Praise your child and their teammates for displaying strong character, good sportsmanship, and a team-first attitude. Avoid affirming only their athletic performance or victories.
  • Positive Role Model: Lead by example. Act politely and respectfully toward coaches, officials, other parents, visiting team supporters, and spectators at practices, games, and meetings.
  • Sportsmanship: Celebrate the efforts of all team members and respect the hard work of opponents. Accept losses gracefully by congratulating the opposing team on a game well played. Support the team wholeheartedly, regardless of the game outcome or how much playtime your child receives.
  • Encouragement: Encourage your child and their teammates with positivity, even when they make mistakes. Every practice and game is an opportunity for physical, emotional, and character growth.
  • Commitment to the Code: As a parent with the ability to influence every player positively, I commit to this Code of Conduct. If I fall short of these standards, I accept accountability and responsibility for my actions.

    PLAYERS’  CODE  OF  CONDUCT

  • Respect: I show respect for myself, my coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, spectators, and my family by being polite and considerate in words and actions.
  • Equality: I do not judge others based on race, gender, religion, background, or abilities. Instead, I judge people by their character.
  • Role Model: I serve as a role model by speaking politely and acting courteously toward everyone. I recognize that representing my family, school, and community as an athlete is a privilege.
