Johnny Magliozzi

Johnny comes to us from the Georgia Bombers and TG Diamondbacks.

Before his coaching and teaching career Johnny played for 7 years in the NY Mets organization and 2 years at University of Florida before signing professionally. He is currently a full time scout for the New York Mets and is going into his 11th year in professional baseball.

In 2010, Johnny played in the Aflac/PG All American game.

Drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 35th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft from Dexter School (Brookline, MA).

Drafted by the New York Mets in the 17th round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of the University of Florida.

Under his direction the 17u Marucci Team won 4 Perfect Game events, finished runner up in 2022 17u WWBA, runner up in 2021 18u WWBA and won 2021 17u Marucci World Series in just 2 years as Head Coach. During his brief stint with the TG Dbacks Johnny led the 17u and 18u team to a 3rd overall national ranking from Perfect Game. While having 3 players drafted from the team. In his 5 year coaching career Johnny has sent over 250 kids to college and has worked with 50 kids that have gone on to be drafted by MLB teams.
