Christine Yangson

Christine Yangson is a Performance Coach as well as the Head Coach for our girls U15’s volleyball club team for the 2023-24 season. Christine’s love for the game has driven her passion for coaching volleyball since 2006 holding roles as both head and an assistant at the club and High School levels.

Christine has also been an active Nurse since 2011 working in a Post-Acute Rehab facility. Her duration in Rehab sparked the interest in preventative medicine and holistic care. As one of the few female sports performance coaches at Sports Academy’s, Christine dedicates an extensive amount of time and personal research into performance training, mobility, plyometrics, and nutrition. She has most recently obtained her CES and coaches several performance classes at Sports Academy’s including Programmed HIIT, Performance/Full Circle, and youth classes, and her specialty, Jump Training.

Christine comes from a family of volleyball and basketball players as well as healthcare providers. She is the youngest of 5 siblings. Christine attended Chaminade College Preparatory and was student athlete participating in both track and volleyball. Christine continued to play volleyball at Moorpark College helping the Raiders earn back to back conference championships. She received an offer to play volleyball for Ottawa University but declined to stay close to her family. Christine is a lover of the outdoors and an adventurous food enthusiast. She continues to feed her curiosity via her workouts…always training for something.
