Christine Yangson is a Performance Coach as well an assistant coach for the Girls VB 15-1s team. Christine’s love for the game has driven her passion for coaching volleyball since 2006 holding roles as both head and an assistant at the club and High School levels.
Christine has also been an active Nurse since 2011 working in a Post-Acute Rehab facility. Her duration in Rehab sparked the interest in preventative medicine and holistic care. As one of the few female sports performance coaches at Sports Academy’s, Christine dedicates an extensive amount of time and personal research into performance training, mobility, plyometrics, and nutrition. She has most recently obtained her CES and coaches several performance classes at Sports Academy’s including Programmed HIIT, Performance/Full Circle, and youth classes, and her specialty, Jump Training.
Christine comes from a family of volleyball and basketball players as well as healthcare providers. She is the youngest of 5 siblings. Christine attended Chaminade College Preparatory and was student athlete participating in both track and volleyball. Christine continued to play volleyball at Moorpark College helping the Raiders earn back to back conference championships. She received an offer to play volleyball for Ottawa University but declined to stay close to her family. Christine is a lover of the outdoors and an adventurous food enthusiast. She continues to feed her curiosity via her workouts…always training for something.
Nate is one of the co-founding partners of Sports Academy and directs the elite performance programs in the facility. Nate also directly works with Sports Academy’s actor & entertainer program to develop role transformations and facilitates on sight training. Groups such as NETFLIX and WARNER BROS have contracted Nate as an onsite trainer. Nate also oversees and directs Sports Academy Tennis performance program. Nate became the head performance coach for Maria Sharapova in 2019.More about Nate
Bryce is a veteran of the USAF and an elite Performance Coach at Sports Academy. He is extremely passionate about helping others and he has changed many lives through fitness with his unique training philosophy. It focuses on analyzing movement to find areas to improve upon as well as teaching his clients to implement daily habits to reach their fullest potential.More about Bryce
Daniel Hernandez was born and raised in Oxnard, California, where he continues to play soccer and enjoys weightlifting. He earned his B.S. in Exercise Science from California State Northridge, M.S. in Exercise Science from California Baptist University, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the NSCA. When he is not training he enjoys DJing to Hip-Hop and EDM, watching the latest scary movies, or watching his favorite soccer team, Real Madrid, play.More about Daniel
Zach is a Performance Coach here at Sports Academy and is a jack of all trades for us. He is an ex-collegiate athlete with a clinical background in rehabilitation which he uses to help all our clients reach their full potential.More about Zachary
Justin is a Performance Coach at Sports Academy and trains all variations of the population. He has certifications in corrective exercise, performance enhancement and CPR/AED. He is a former athlete and currently partakes in many extreme sports to maintain an active lifestyle.More about Justin
Amy Gray is a HIIT Instructor at Sports Academy and enjoys programming for HIIT and teaching MRT. She has been leading HIIT classes and working with private clients for the past 3+ years. Amy holds NASM CPT and NASM Nutrition certifications.More about Amy
