Jeff Fischer

Massage Therapist

Jeff Fischer

Jeff brings over 20 years of bodywork experience to the Sports Academy. His practice originally focused on Trigger Point therapy and has expanded by studying modalities including Active Release Technique, Trager Approach and Neuromuscular Facilitation. Whether working with someone who needs general stress relief or an athlete who needs focused work on an injury, Jeff views his clients as partners in optimizing their performance, recovery and wellbeing.

Jeff graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University, where he was a 4-time varsity letter winner and All-Pac-10 performer on the cross country and track & field teams. He has worked with the Stanford Swimming team at their Conference and National Championships for 20 years. He was originally certified in massage therapy in 2001 in Palo Alto, where was mentored at Sports Medicine Institute, the premiere bodywork facility in Silicon Valley.

Jeff grew up in the Conejo Valley where he and his Thousand Oaks High School teammates won 2 California State Cross Country Championships. Today you may find him running the same trails he ran on as a teenager, surfing in Ventura, shooting hoops at the gym and most rewardingly hanging with his family and friends and playing with his 4 nieces and nephews.
