My role in Sport Academy is to help clients move again pain free and optimize longevity. Depending on the needs of the client, I focus on targeting muscles that are used in a specific sport or their daily job. By using various techniques to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery, as well as improve overall range of motion and flexibility to support safe and effective movement.
I worked as a Physical therapy aide for 3 years and a massage therapist for 2 years. I learned a lot from working with a physical therapist for so I could learn proper body mechanics, rehabilitation process and how to treat different injuries. I also have a certificate in stretching and flexibility. I learned specific protocols to increase flexibility, body-awareness, and neuromuscular control.
I played soccer and wrestled through high school. Right now I enjoy training Brazilian jiu jitsu it’s an awesome sport it challenges me mentally and physically. I competed once and I got second place so it wasn’t bad for my first competition, but my plan is to compete more in the future. I also enjoy hiking, working out, and exploring new places.
