Sports Academy and Handy’s 94FEETOFGAME to collaborate on basketball training programs and will also provide virtual training access to underserved youth affected by COVID-19
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (December 10th, 2020) We know how important it is for your kids to get out of the house, stay active and sharpen and learn new skills.
Earlier today, Sports Academy (SA) and Phil Handy announced an exciting partnership that will re-launch 94FEETOFGAMEAPP (94FT), Handy’s burgeoning basketball training business, offering new features. Sports Academy will collaborate with 94FEETOFGAME on live and virtual trainings, clinics and camps for players of all levels. Also, the two brands will provide coach certification clinics as well as invite-only camps for elite NBA and WNBA players. This is the brand’s first official partnership with a coach of Handy’s caliber.
In addition to the new app features, training will be headquartered at SA’s facilities and executed with 94FT’s curriculum. These training sessions will focus extensively on proper skills training for the next generation of female and male basketball athletes. SA serves thousands of athletes at their three physical locations, two of which, Thousand Oaks, CA, and Frisco, TX, boast state-of-the-art basketball setups. The partnership is committed to providing ongoing opportunity for underserved youth around the world and will be made available for virtual training to those affected by COVID-19.

About Phil Handy
Phil Handy’s core belief is teaching basketball to build a proper foundation. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Handy found tremendous success as a collegiate, professional, and international basketball player. He was recognized as a versatile Guard who could play multiple positions, a great defender, and a fundamentally sound player.
In 1999 he started his training business 94FEETOFGAME working with Athletes of all ages domestically and internationally. In 2011 was offered his first NBA position as Director of Player Development for the Los Angeles Lakers working closely with Kobe Bryant. Thereafter, Phil worked with the Cleveland Cavaliers contributing to their 2015-2016 Championship, advanced to an Assistant Coach for Toronto Raptors contributing to their 2018-19, and is currently the 3rd Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Lakers winning his 3rd NBA Championship for the 2019-2020 season.
In addition to winning in the NBA, in 2017 Handy took his training to the next level and launched the 94FEETOFGAMEAPP, where he takes the fundamentals of teaching world class athletes to students of all ages.
